I sold my 9.1.2 surround system and got the Sonos system gen 3 with sub and era 100's. Was about to buy a second Sonos sub (because I had dual subs in my full system). It was awesome. But I always have buyers remorse and kept reading about the q990c for half the price. So I bought one on sale and compared. Ended up keeping the Samsung and returning the Sonos system.

For the $$$$ there are WAY better options out there. $2,300 - $2,500 can get you a lot for a legit HT audio setup. The Sonos sub is the biggest downside component to that whole setup. >but the obvious trade off to me is time and knowledge. Doesn't take a tone of time or knowledge to setup a HT system. It's not rocket science. >Is there really that much of a difference? yes, there's a very significant difference.
