Well, I went with the sonos. Arc+sub mini plus 2 era 100s for the rears.  Sounds nice but I just cant justify the price. This setup costs DOUBLE of the samsung q990d. If I could go back, I would buy the samsung instead. Hope that helps

The Sonos System will not outperform dedicated speakers for each of the channels. These type of systems try to replicate dedicated speakers by bouncing the sound off of the ceiling. Even under the most optimal conditions (a flat, non vaulted ceiling that bounces sound perfectly), a very basic dedicated speakers system will still outperform the Sonos. I would only recommend a sound bar like the Sonos if you are extremely tight on space or can't compromise on aesthetics. Since you already invested in a very good projector and large screen - the Sonos should not even be considered at this point.
