Best praise vs top criticism for SVS PB-2000 Pro
“So here's the breakdown of costs (pre tax), got some stuff at a discount during Black Friday SVS Ultra towers - $2000 SVS ultra center- $599 SVS PB2000 Pro - $1799 Klipsch In Wall - 4x150 = $600 Klipsch In Ceiling - 4x125=$500 Denon Receiver - $1500 Sony 4k projector - $5000 Screen - $1000 Valencia Seats - $2600 Paint, lights etc - $500 Total of approximately **$16000** I DIYed everything in this room so saved about 2k in labor costs I guess. It's totally worth it, In my opinion it's much more immersive than an IMAX theater experience. I'm rewatching lot of older movies just for the sound effects and atmos contents and its whole new experience. I'm pretty happy with my setup. I would have loved to have a riser for 2 row seating but the builder wouldn't add it and I didn't want spend money right now. For aesthetics purposes I would run the wires to dedicated closet and installed in wall LCR behind an acoustically transparent screen for a cleaner look.”
“Yes it is overpriced. Audio gear in general has poor resale value. Quick look on sold listings on hifishark shows they sell for between $800-$1000 CAD used. Also Im not sure thats even a pb-2000. They have metal grills and that one is definitely cloth.”
