“Need some help to try to figure out the the best way to add a heavy bag for Muay Thai in a Monster Lite Squat Stand The gym setup: - SML-2 Rogue 90" Monster Lite Squat Stand not attached to the floor - Rogue Squat Stand Base Storage on the back - Total plate storage: ~260lbs (~half each side) That Pull-up bar has been used for over 2 years for dynamic movements such as kipping pull-ups, toes to bar, ring dips, ring rows, etc without issues. It's also very solid racking back squats around ~200lbs. Now the issue: I want to add a Muay Thai Heavy Bag - 100lbs, that allows me enough range for kicks. In terms of weight distribution adding it to the pullup sounds like the best approach but I'm concerned with the range of motion and taking it out at every usage is also annoying. The second solution is to add a heavy bag arm, let's assume Rogue Monster Shrimp Trawler (I have an extender that I would probably use instead, but the effect is the same). I would need to add it in front of the rack (mid mat). My concern with this is that the counter weight of the plates are not enough. It would also create more tension in the side where the bag is. I could mount the rack to the floor but that is concrete in a rental house, so I was very strongly trying to avoid it. The ceiling and walls are shitty and would not hold on any dynamic weight. First picture is the rack/gym as is. Second the arm example. Third the bag. For reference the people using that bag would be under 180lbs, it should give you a reference of power. The intended train is not at max power but with some intensity anyway. Has anyone tried to use a heavy bag with any of those setups? Suggestions?”
