"Ok so I got a sole f80 treadmill, I like to run 3-5 miles multiple times a week. My wife and kids, fyi who are track kids, use the machine also. It's a no frills, no tech machine that works great. I got it new in 2021 and have no issues with it outside of typical maintenance which consists of lubing the deck and points which pivot. My best friend runs marathons and he runs on a f63 from sole that is about 10 yrs old. That machine has been abused and still works like new. With Sole, you won't get a fancy TV screen or interactive experience but it's a solid machine. As a side note we have a flat screen tv on the wall that we stream workouts from the Pelaton app which I hate to admit is awesome with several runners who help with running motivation and other workouts."

"Oh I can chime in here. I have a Bike+ and love the Peloton ecosystem and the hardware. I was shopping for a treadmill ~6 months ago and really wanted to spring for a Tread. I did a ton of research and couldn't justify going Peloton. The biggest deal breaker for me was the lack of a folding feature. The specs and features for the Peloton hardware seem to be really lacking compared to more established competitors at similar price points. Another big factor for me was that I didn't want locked in to the Peloton ecosystem for runs, despite really liking it. I ended up getting a Horizon 7.4 AT (way under your budget) without any kind of screen on it. Then I spent another $200 for a 32" TV and Apple TV to mount in front of it that I use for my workouts and the treadmill connects to it. I use Peloton, Zwift, Kinomap to name a few apps. Or I'll just watch YouTube. I've loved the flexibility this route has given me."

"Just picked up a Tread. Absolutely love it. My inner David Goggins told myself that I was going to save the money and tough it out this year Nope. After running a half marathon in the freezing rain a couple of weeks ago and seeing the incoming Arctic blast in the extended forecast, I broke down and ordered a treadmill the next day. My only regret is not doing it sooner. It’s amazing going from suiting up in three layers of clothing, down to just gym shorts, socks, shoes and no shirt. Really cuts down on laundry, not to mention prep time. Takes far less motivation to comfortably run in my basement, than going out in the dark freezing weather. I’m excited, can you tell?"
