Best praise vs top criticism for LG 27GR93U-B
“I also have the LG 27GR93U, coming from a 1440p monitor the difference is huge. Build quality is also top notch”
“HDR is highly dependent on the display, in our case in this monitor HDR is not great. HDR on might also change the way it handles colors in general, so my profile will probably not work well under it (HDR mode tends to OVER-saturate colors on purpose because it takes more color to get the same color as standard mode). You can find more here [LG 27GR93U-B Review - RTINGS.com](https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/27gr93u-b) Personally, I find the HDR lacking enough to not use it. Then again I also had the best HDR OLED and I still didn't personally enjoy HDR so give it your own test, just remember you'll need to adjust sliders in-game per-game to get the best results. For PS5, you'll be fine with it off (not many games use it, or very well at that) but if you do turn it on, make sure to use your own eyes to make sure the colors are not washed out and desaturated. The settings might also have its own profile for HDR, so it might completely change all the settings you set only when HDR is on (I'm not sure). the PS5 gets sub-60 fps so also think about setting the "response time" setting to OFF instead of Normal. That is if you notice any odd blurring, that'll be the first setting you touch. There's only so much a monitor can do for a console, TVs just look a bit better for them due to the post processing they do, but you'll get a rawer image with a monitor. Happy gaming!”
