Best praise vs top criticism for Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 G70NC
“ASUS PG32UQX and BenQ Mobiuz EX321UX for 32" IPS. Both use the same panel that ASUS uses in their professional ProArt PA32UCG-K monitor. Check Rtings review on the BenQ to see all the specs. The Samsung 32" Neo G7 and Neo G8 are VA panels, check the Rtings reviews for all the specs, and apparently some G8s are having issues with scanlines. Acer XV275K for 27" IPS. Excellent monitor. Rtings reviews for the full specs. Don't let the 576 dimming zones out you off, it has excellent motion handling and local dimming algorithms. Or if you want 1440p, a few good options to look at. AOC Q27G40XMN and Q27G3XMN, Acer XV275U and Xiaomi G Pro 27i. If possible, try and see as many of them in person and don't rely just on paper specs.”
“Interesting read but some things are completely wrong "And then there’s cost. Implementing hundreds or thousands of tiny LED zones with dedicated drivers and cooling isn’t cheap. Most mini LED gaming monitors have been flagship models with $1,500+ price tags (and expectations to match) or at lower cost but with terrible backlight performance." That\`s not longer the case, I bought a miniLED quantum dot high-end monitor 4k/165Hz with HDR1300 (real) and 10 bit 1 billion color panel for just around 550$ and that\`s after 23% vat tax.
