Best praise vs top criticism for Samsung Odyssey Neo G8
“ASUS PG32UQX and BenQ Mobiuz EX321UX for 32" IPS. Both use the same panel that ASUS uses in their professional ProArt PA32UCG-K monitor. Check Rtings review on the BenQ to see all the specs. The Samsung 32" Neo G7 and Neo G8 are VA panels, check the Rtings reviews for all the specs, and apparently some G8s are having issues with scanlines. Acer XV275K for 27" IPS. Excellent monitor. Rtings reviews for the full specs. Don't let the 576 dimming zones out you off, it has excellent motion handling and local dimming algorithms. Or if you want 1440p, a few good options to look at. AOC Q27G40XMN and Q27G3XMN, Acer XV275U and Xiaomi G Pro 27i. If possible, try and see as many of them in person and don't rely just on paper specs.”
“Just to Ask... What in Neo G8 is mediocre? Mmm the thing with mini Led is... Is Just the backlight, to get better mini leds also you need to have better LCD's. And since Mini Led + IPS is Just Stupid you need to get better VA LCD's and since only One companie are doing better VA you need to wait until That companie show their results. (TCL CSOT is That companie btw) What are doing TCL CSOT May you ask... Well 1. Ultra high Hz panels (They Have 1000hz VA prototypes) 2. Ultra Wide viewing angles. 3 Real no black smearing VA/Overshoot panels (almost 99% there with panels like The One on KTC H27E22) But also they are improving the Mini Led part, with their Transient Mini Led That produces 0 lag in the backlight (right now, mini Leds requieres 15ms to Reach the final state) and ultra short focus to reduce blooming.”
