"I have a 24.5" 1080p 240hz TN and a 27" 1440p 144hz IPS and I'm currently waiting until June for the HP Omen 27qs G2. It's a 27"1440p 280hz IPS Black display which will have way better contrast than a traditional IPS panel and a semi-gloss screen instead of matte. I'm not an OLED guy personally I find them to be too dim for me."

"ASUS PG32UQX and BenQ Mobiuz EX321UX for 32" IPS. Both use the same panel that ASUS uses in their professional ProArt PA32UCG-K monitor. Check Rtings review on the BenQ to see all the specs. The Samsung 32" Neo G7 and Neo G8 are VA panels, check the Rtings reviews for all the specs, and apparently some G8s are having issues with scanlines. Acer XV275K for 27" IPS. Excellent monitor. Rtings reviews for the full specs. Don't let the 576 dimming zones out you off, it has excellent motion handling and local dimming algorithms. Or if you want 1440p, a few good options to look at. AOC Q27G40XMN and Q27G3XMN, Acer XV275U and Xiaomi G Pro 27i. If possible, try and see as many of them in person and don't rely just on paper specs."

"What do you mean? The Acer XV275K is a 27" 4k IPS Mini-LED, a really good one at that too. Excellent ergonomics, external power brick, very little blooming (you have to pretty much be looking for it to notice it), excellent motion handling. "Oled burns, i barely turn off my screen once a month i would burj an oled a week 😂🤣 Plus the ridiculous price, idk men my aoc cu34g2x has a overdrive feature which as medium cuts ghosting completely and i have a lg ultra wide smaller that is ips and the darks and grays are just not comparable, sure it has richer colors but color accuracy is not about rich colors but accurate to natural digitial colors which is srgb which is not that vibrant and colorful"

"Hey, I can give some feedback on M27QA for using it around 3 days. I was amazed by the black colors and contrast. They felt amazing for an IPS. The colors and motion all felt great for gaming and movies. "I just got the Alienware AW3425DWM. VA Panel, 180hz It’s reasonably accurate in srgb mode (there’s a minor green yellow tint, similar to what I’ve had on a BenQ IPS). No black smearing unless response time set to extreme. Only had it two days but so far so good. IPS monitor was more saturated in sRGB mode but I don’t really use sRGB to get the most saturated colours anyways. All the other color profiles are vibrant and reasonably accurate."

"I think the Alienware AW3425DW is the only ultrawide Oled with 240hz. At least for now. I have it and it's solid. Oled response time is the fastest, Oled has the best color. Burn in is a concern, but you have 3 years of burn in warranty, so 3 years of peace of mind. UW is just a game changer."

"Yes, it’s good. Best way to describe KTC is that the hardware is good, the firmware is eh, the customer service is bad. A list of “best price-to-performance monitors” would include like five KTC monitors, they usually sell their competing product at 30-50% off what the competition costs. Certain monitors have firmware issues that are nearly impossible to fix (M27T20, I did find the update on mine but they do not make it easy), but this one is fine."

"For the games you play, Mini LED would be far better. AOC Q27G3XMN and KTC M27T20 are plenty fast, so there is a lot less ghosting and smearing than a traditional VA panel, and the HDR image quality is near-OLED levels (and arguably better in a bright room due to the high brightness, M27T20 hits 1200 nits even in large windows)."

"Eh, just read that "The only slightly negative thing to me was with the local dimming on the brightness locks to max" That kills the monitor for me as I use the aoc q27g3xmn at about 25% brightness and prefer to leave the local dimming on. Setting it to 100% is way too bright in the evening. Shame that they did that."

"AOC Q27G3XMN is currently considered to be the best budget HDR monitor, it retails for around €320 in the EU. AOC has multiple successors to this monitor that are already being sold in China, so you might want to wait for those, although I've found no reliable information on their performance or availability and price in Europe."

"If your on Windows the HDR calibration tool works pretty well, but on macOS once you turn on HDR on the 45GX900A-B  turns into absolute dog shit. Plus the text is fuzzy. I'm not exaggerating but it's a world of difference going from 45GX900A-B  to **45GX950A-B.** Almost like LG intentionally made the 45GX900A-B bad."

"tl;dr: I've used both of these for productivity, I say go with the \*\*40U990A-W\*\*! \--- To replace my BenQ EW3280U 32-inch 4K, I originally tried the 45GX950A-B and it is definitely a great monitor. Colors and contrast are amazing, and I could see the curve being immersive for games. I really, really wanted the OLED blacks! However, it is not well suited for productivity: \- Native resolution text rendering, while acceptable, was not better than my previous BenQ \- The reduced pixel density (125 ppi) was noticeable (I CAN SeE THe PixEls!) which contributed to the lack of text crispness \- The curve was too distracting for me while working in my text editor or terminal \- The size felt just a bit too large when looking back and forth across the screen \--- The 40U990A-W solved most of those concerns, for me! \- After having both the 45GX950A-B and 40U990A-W running side-by-side for a day, I was able to adjust the image settings on the IPS 40U990A-W to pretty closely match the colors of the OLED \- But of course, I could not quite match the vibrancy and contrast of the OLED, but I spend my days coding not editing photos or video \- The more gentle curve is pretty perfect for my viewing distance, IMO \- While, the size \_could be\_ a little larger... \- That would affect the pixel density (139 ppi) \- Which is just a tiny bit better than my previous BenQ (138 ppi ≈ 139 ppi) \- Native resolution text rendering is significantly better than the 45GX950A-B OLED \--- All that said, if the next gen of 5K2K OLEDs solve for text rendering and come in a 40" to 42" size... I'll have to take a look at those when the time comes."

"Yeah, it is the LG 45gx950a-b, the extra curvy one 😄 Honestly I think the curve is spot on - perfect. Your mileage will vary of course, some people don't like it and at 800R I was indeed hesitant when placing the order buuuut... I really think at this size ans with less of a curve those far edges would seem really off axis and far off. I do 3D type work on it without a problem, lines are straight to me 😀but again not everyone would agree so 😅"

"The 4025QW will not be significantly brighter than the LG 40wp95c, roughly only 30 nits brighter (i.e 10% of the 40 inch LG panel). The main benefit of the screen is the increased contrast. Motion blur is not as bad on the 4025QW as the tests make it seem. In fact it is near identical to that of the LG 40wp95c."

" I have grey vertical banding uniformity issues with my Gigabyte MO27Q28G at 75% greyscale and beyond. In dark Arc Raider rooms i cant even see because of the "dirt" Also, I don't think the colors pop up as I thought they were going too. I might return it before is too late"

"I recently bought the Gigabyte MO27Q28G 1440p 240hz Tandem OLED and it is bright compared to the other oled and qd-oled, but since I do mostly Video Editing, I'm planning on getting a AOC Q27G4ZMN 1440p 240hz VA MiniLED that has 1152 zones. Monitor Unboxed spoke highly of the 180hz version and the previous gen with fewer dimming zones. I also have my eyes on the MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M which is a 4K version of it that has the same amount of dimming zone but IPS. Not sure which is better for productivitiy, VA or IPS MiniLED but I do like a 4K MiniLED to do editing and game on the OLED after."

"Text fringing is not an issue on the latest generation anymore. I have a Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2 myself and there is zero text fringing."

"I recently bought a Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P - but after a week of use, I returned it. If gaming is only what you are interested in - then don't read any further, just buy an OLED monitor. If media consumption is more of what you will use the monitor for, then my suggestion is to get an OLED TV instead. There are far too many people on the internet that take objection to anything negative being said about OLED's - but an honest opinion was asked for by the poster. I would like to say that I don't dislike OLED's - I have had 2 previous OLED TV's. I do play games on my PC, although not exclusively - I have 2 console's and an Nvidia Shield connected to my primary TV. I had 2 high end Dell IPS monitors - UP3221Q and a UP2718Q, while the UP3221Q has a self calibration device, I use an i1 Display Pro hardware calibration device to calibrate my monitors. As I needed a replacement for the UP3221Q (which is exceptional, although limited to 60hz), I was convinced to try an OLED as my primary monitor. I previously tried a 42" OLED, although the text fringing was really bad - it is reduced a lot using a 32" OLED. I tested the AORUS alongside the UP2718Q in a dual monitor setup. Once I calibrated the monitor, I did notice the colours were still a bit too saturated for my liking - when trying to edit photos. I preferred using the UP2718Q for this, perhaps I was just used to the colours produced by an IPS. Another issue I found was that an OLED is very dark in near black scenes - it does crush darker colours so that they appear darker than they should be. Comparing the same image on the IPS and OLED showed how bad it is. The AORUS had a setting that you could increase to try mitigate this. Another issue was the brightness limiting - I had calibrated the monitors to use 110 LUX, but I did notice that the OLED did tend to dim slightly, depending on what was on screen - and this is understandable, these are the OLED protection features to try eliminate burn in. But, for me, this was not acceptable. You cannot edit videos or photos when knowing that the monitor will subtly change the brightness of the image. And if writing any text in a word processor, on the web or in an IDE, I found this to be distracting, especially because the IPS monitor stayed constant. I do still think the OLED monitor is great, but unfortunately I don't only play games on my monitors, I need them to be useful in a variety of situations. I ended up replacing the FO32U2P with a Dell U3225QE, which is better suited to what I need in a monitor."

"FO32U2P, always run HDR, been working with it since april 2024, no issues. Depends on what you mean by "bright room" - direct light? How many nits? And how bright do you like it? The question if it's right for you is a personal thing, I can't seriously answer that for you. But you can look up data on most monitors on pages like rtings and get a colorimeter to check your current monitor, or a spectrometer, if you want the most accurate result. For me it works better than my IPS and VA monitors, but tgen also I'm a dark mode user and don't have a window behind me. It's a bit like "does the speaker make good music" - room treatment is very important for sound, and lighting environment is important for your viewing experience"

"I've rarely seen reviews mention white uniformity at all. I went through 4 of them and they all had color casts on white on different parts of the screen. They are AUO AHVA panels. "just go for the msi mag 271qpx E2. They maxed dp 1.4 and does 240hz 10 bit with no dsc. It also has low latency even at low refresh rates using gsync along with using the proper 2.2 gamma curve instead of the old sRGB curve ok alienwares. That said, the sRGB and HDR modes are accurate too. HDR 400 mode goes up to like 470 nits which is handy for some movies or particular games. I think all those uniquely together is better than the need for an extra 120hz."

"I went through this same choice so I bought a few different monitors (though not the ones you listed). I’m not sure how the ultrawide 1440p OLEDs do on text clarity but the standard 1440p ones can have issues. I purchased an MSI 271QPX QD-OLED E2 and the text clarity is not great. I get fatigue and eye strain from using that thing. On the other hand, the 4k OLED I’m using has no issues with text clarity. I don’t notice much difference in text between that and the mini-LED I have. So that’s something to look into. Ultimately it comes down to your usage. If you are doing a lot of work/productivity tasks I don’t see a benefit of going OLED given the burn-in risk. For media consumption it makes sense. The OLED and mini-LED are extremely close in a well lit room to my eyes. When I turn off the lights and consume content with lots of dark scenes I can see some differences. They aren’t massive or night and day like some people on reddit claim though. For me, it came down to my usage patterns and the OLED being 2x more than the mini-LED. I do a lot of programming work so it wasn’t worth the risk of burn-in at nearly 2x the cost of the mini-LED. Since they are similarly priced in your case, you should decide based on your usage patterns."

"I've used my AORUS FO48U for 3+ years for 14ish house 5-6 days a week without issue.  The same monitor Linus from LTT had. If you are not prepared to go out of your way all the time to protect it, then don't get it. I treat mine like an old plasma and I have no burn in. I have screen saver that is just a black image kick on after 3 minutes of idle. Everything is in dark mode. No white screen stays on screen for too long. Not maxing out normal brightness and using it in a dark room. Turning on all the protections. If I am away from the monitor, I manually turn it off.  All of it matters all of the time. If you are not prepared to be militant about it, don't get it. They look better but they are high maintenance monitors"

"Yeah I've got an AORUS FO48U that uses an LG panel, I've been using it for a considerable amount of time almost every day for about 6 years and there's no burn-in at all. When I first got the monitor, it had some issues with how it handles HDR/dimming/etc., but after a firmware update it's been solid."

"Gigabyte m32up is my vote. Lgg32gr93-u has a horizontal line problem and Dell g332q suffer from backlight bleed. Had the exact same issue and remain frustrated. You could wait for the hp omen 32x but it costs $750. KTC offers a 27" 4K monitor on amazon for $360."
