Best praise vs top criticism for LG 27GP850-B
“Va has better contrast, blacks and color. I have an ips lg 27” but I prefer the 32” msi VA I picked up for gaming. I don’t really see all the ghosting everyone is talking about. I had an Acer nitro 32” that in comparison everything seemed blurred like a form of aa was being applied to out from the monitor. When you were moving fast it was also blurred which may have been the ghosting. The picture on the msi was better than both so I stuck with it. You know what’s better than all these internet opinions? Your eyes. Go see if you can check them out in a store side by side. Don’t worry about the specs or the Reddit opinions and buy the one you like the best. If it was up to the people here we’d all be buying overpriced oleds that only last a few years. No thanks.”
“Don't get the 27GP850. It's a few years old at this point. It was the first of the fast nano-ips panels and had terrible contrast. As for burn-in, I don't use OLED myself, but I think the burn-in risk is minimal, and you have the 3-year warranty coverage if it happens. If you're looking for a really long-term monitor it might become a concern.”
