The reason that I returned it was one dead pixel. Now, concerning your review: First downside, the gloss. I have a large window to the right of my working space and mostly I work and play during the daytime. There were ZERO problems with glossiness of this monitor. Never seen my face in reflection, no glares etc. Yes, it’s glossy screen and in theory you can see reflections, but for me sharp image of glossy screen is huge advantage over matt screen that I have owned previously. Second downside, brightness. Well, I have exactly opposite opinion. Before I bought this monitor, I had concerns that because of qd oled, brightness will be not enough. When I switched on monitor for the first time and made basic correction, I realized that I was totally wrong. Brightness on this monitor is MORE than enough. On the third day of usage, I end up in uniform brightness level 60. Picture is bright and crisp and there is still huge extra brightness if needed. I am 101% satisfied with the brightness of this monitor. Third downside, text clarity. No problem at all. I spent lot of time using Word. Text it clear and quality of text is comparable to my previous 27 4K IPS monitor. Fourth downside... HDR or again its lack of brightness. Wait what? I have read lots of complaints about HDR of this monitor. I have tested HDR in Hitman only. Sun glare in Dubai mission makes my eye watering and car headlights in Hitman 2 nightcall mission made my eyes hurt. Cant say about other games, but my first impressions of HDR were very positive. Fifth downside…power consumption. Since I have 4090 and Finnish Sauna at home, I skip this. What is REAL concern to me is VRR flickering. That was very evident and annoying in all games that I have tested. I have never seen or heard about VRR flickering before, but this monitor has this problem for sure. Since this monitor is g-sync compatible that makes me even more frustrated. In my opining the only serious problem is g-sync flickering. Otherwise, it is an amazing monitor.”
