Best praise vs top criticism for Sole F80
“Hello OP. I have a Sole F80. Its almost 10 years old but I only used it sporadically. Started running again, which is why I watch these forums to see what the market is like. Having said that have you tried these treadmills out ? No substitute for experience. Also, I used to look at a site called treadmill doctor, they are nonpartisan for vendors. Highly recommend. Good luck !”
“I just posted my SOLE F63 experience on another thread. Hope it helps. My usage is also 30-40 miles per week and I have about 4,000 miles on my machine. I’ve had a SOLE F63 for four years, trained for marathons on it, and only had a minor issue that was resolved quickly with a phone call to the service department. The issue: I started smelling burning plastic while in use. Opened up the cover and saw two fried wires on the control board. Called SOLE service dept. and they sent me a new motor and control board within the week. This was last year, so well past Covid supply chain issues, and I installed it myself. That was about a year ago and I haven’t had trouble since. I think the newer models have upgraded control boards to avoid this wire issue. If I ever upgrade to a new machine, I’ll probably go for the SOLE f80 or 85. But for now the 63 gets the job done just fine.”
