Best praise vs top criticism for Sole F63
“Yep. The sub $1000 bracket of treadmills worth anything at all is Sole F63 or Horizon 7.0. And even then it’s just when they are on sale. That is the common recommendation on the sub which is searchable. Next, the $3-5k category is much more interesting to recommend from, especially for the professionals in this group. And then in the eff you money category there are some nice products too. But it’s like going into the whatcarshouldibuy sub and asking what you should get new for about 15k. The answer is a Versa, Accent or Rio. That’s it. And that’s if you can find a base model on sale.”
“I just posted my SOLE F63 experience on another thread. Hope it helps. My usage is also 30-40 miles per week and I have about 4,000 miles on my machine. I’ve had a SOLE F63 for four years, trained for marathons on it, and only had a minor issue that was resolved quickly with a phone call to the service department. The issue: I started smelling burning plastic while in use. Opened up the cover and saw two fried wires on the control board. Called SOLE service dept. and they sent me a new motor and control board within the week. This was last year, so well past Covid supply chain issues, and I installed it myself. That was about a year ago and I haven’t had trouble since. I think the newer models have upgraded control boards to avoid this wire issue. If I ever upgrade to a new machine, I’ll probably go for the SOLE f80 or 85. But for now the 63 gets the job done just fine.”
