"Don't buy bobsweep! they price there items high yet they perform far worse than cheaper options which is why there always on sale. Also there reviews are mostly bots. You can even check there scores on RTINGS. I know their so bad cause I had a bobsweep dustin new from best buy which I got cause it was like an 80% discount from $1400 CAD of the reviews not realizing they said "Paid Promotion" on the side, now I own a Roborock Q5 Max+ which is half the retail yet performs far better."

"To follow on to this question - what are good vaccums for pet hair? I had a RoboRock Q5 Max+ which was a pretty good unit (until it smeared and flung dog droppings everywhere with its rotating baseboard cleaning brush). The one thing I'm looking for is a vac that actually sucks the detritus successfully into its bag when it parks on its base. The Q5 Max+ was always jammed with what looked like lint/dog hair. It wouldn't get sucked into the base and would just clog the vacuum. Thanks!"

"The roborock Q5 Max+ is more expensive but is a crowd favorite for vacuum only robots."

"Dreame D20 pro plus. The mopping is useless and I've literally never attached the mop pad. When that accessory is off, it knows it is vacuum only."

"I recently got the Roborock Qrevo S5V (think it's on sale for 550$) and it's been great. It cleans fast and well and it navigates efficiently. It doesn't have the best obstacle avoidance but I live alone without pets and my floor is always picked up, so it doesn't bother me at all. Overall very happy with it."
5· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"All should be fine for pet hair pickup on hard floors. However the deebot x8 pro Omni, the Narwal z10, and the roborock QRevo s5v don’t have good obstacle avoidance as they only have structured light (the x8 has an RGB camera with structured light but no led light so it is basically blind in the dark and their computer vision program for avoiding obstacles is pretty bad)"
1· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"I have a Roborock Qrevo S5V and its the only robot i ever owned, and i personally like it a lot I was worried it would be hard to maintain and was willing to try and return, but im keeping it and im satisfied with its capabilities 3 min to maintain every once in a while and i move things out of its way and start it manually, sometime twice just to deep clean, i do the edges with a broom and sometime a wet wipe (to wash baseboard for example) and since i have it, my floors are clean everyday. I have 2 dogs and we're 5 adults so our floors always seemed dirty with hairs and hairs are not a problem for this robot"

"I've had mine for a few months now and it's the only vacuum in the house. People often comment about how clean my carpet and floor tiles are.. I can see a little bit of dirt in the corners (Dreame l10s pro ultra heat, so no extending spinny brush) but I save so much time by not having to vacuum, it's probably the best household product I've ever purchased in terms of value and amount of use."
20· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"I’m in Aus too, had the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat. I bought it last year in the Black Friday sales, that thing was useless out of the box and it took Dreame 8 months to refund me. Their customer service is worse than their product. I ended up spending a bit more and got a Eufy e25 in September."
3· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"I have the Dreame L10s pro ultra heat, got it for Christmas and it's been pretty awesome. I have two dogs who shed like crazy and there's short white fur all over your shirt of the living room isn't vacuumed like every few days. It's definitely maintained and kept the fur to a minimum and kept my kitchen and foyer clean. The object avoidance is pretty good, it regularly sees cords in have plugged in and it hasn't gotten stuck under a couch or chair at all. It goes under my recliner and I thought it would get stuck but it always finds it's way out. It has an extending side mop to get along the baseboards and chair and table legs and it works really well. It manages to clean under my chair even though we have 6 chairs all around it. What they won't do though is a deep clean of tile, it's more of a maintaining thing. You will still have to do a deep clean on occasion. There are pet settings to have it do a deep cleaning around pet beds or bowls as well. It's worth maybe looking into, I got mine for $550, I think they're up $100 now."

"If your water usage is referring to the CurvX’s review on VaccumWars, they have since added this: >Vacuum Wars Scoring Changes and Updated Ranking >However, after additional testing both in the studio and in a home with dark flooring that normally shows streaks easily, we did not see streaking from the Qrevo CurvX, even after multiple runs. In practice, its mopping performance was quite good, and the higher-than-average water usage did not translate into the problems we initially expected. As a result, we no longer see its water output as a severe drawback at the levels we measured."

"These things are absurdly overpriced on release. Be patient, every single unit drops in price significantly within a few months after being released (30-65% discounts are expected!0. curvx was $1250 a few months ago and it's now on sale for $849 on some stores, I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped down to $600-700 in a few months"

"I just switched from having 3 Roomba J7+ units (one each floor) and a iRobot Braava M6 mop to 1 Roborock Edge, 1 Roborock QV35A and a Roborock Curv X and it’s been a night and day difference in cleaning. Plus they have matter support and integrate into my Apple Home app. Before buying the Roborock I first tried the Roomba 505 out of loyalty cause I have cats and they leave their toys around everywhere and the mopping and cleaning wasn’t anything special so I was so so on it then I saw the bankruptcy risk and returned it within the 30 day period. Glad I did. Now I just get pics of cat toys like the one attached to this post but my floors are actually clean. lol https://preview.redd.it/ds8k1ptyle5g1.jpeg?width=1320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=232e339ee02c502111d6c41554f4cddfc64adda2"

"suction power is the distraction. See how you're focused on high suction power marketing claims? When tested in the real world, that doesn't equate to better performance. Airflow Matters. Sealing matters. VacuumWars proves this time and time again. Advertised suction is meaningless. So many lower PA vacuums out there out perform higher PA vacuums. A great example is the Mova P10 Pro Ultra (13000PA) having better suction in use than its big brother the Mova P50 Pro ultra (19000PA) Tested suction at max power - P50 .71kpa, P10 Pro ultra 1.08 kpa. Like its not even close"
8· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"He seems like a nice guy but his review of the Mova P10 Pro Ultra definitely had me wondering how critical he’s really being of certain things. He shows the robot clearly having really poor navigation on carpet and missing areas, not driving in straight lines, etc and he just kind of hand waves it."

"The Mova P10 Pro ultra is AMAZING. it was on sale last week for $449. I have it. Best decision I’ve made. I’ve owned shark, ecocacs, eufy, roombas and Dreame. This has been the best by far."

"I did some research digging and found the roborock Q5 pro was best for my 3 dogs and mostly hard floors. So far it has been a dream for setup and the app is amazing too for mapping and scheduling."
9· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"The Q5 Pro has a gravity fed water tank for mopping where the Q8 Max has an electric fed water tank, they both have just drag behind mops. The Q8 Max has some minimal obstacle avoidance but it is more for going around legs on tables and chairs where the Q5 Pro uses the front bumper more to navigate around legs. The gravity fed water tank on the Q5 Max is really useless where the electronic fed water tank is usable for the Q8 Max. Other than that you can get the Q5 Pro in black where the Q8 Max is available in Black or white. I would think in you case with only three rooms the Q5 Pro will do a great job provided you don't want mopping. If you do then it's the Q8 Max. I've had both and as far as just vacuuming they both do a great job as they both have 5500 pascals of suction and both have the dual brush rollers. Good Luck"
2· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"I've been in the robot vacuum game for awhile. Had an OG Roomba Pro back in 2003, then a Roomba 500 series in 2008, Roborock S6 in 2020, and just got a Roborock Q5 Pro a month ago. The budget models of today are SO GOOD and SO CHEAP, that it is very hard for me to justify any of the higher tier models. I got the Q5 Pro for $139. Considering it has similar features but better cleaning performance than my S6 but costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6, it is the best value option out there imo. While the techie in me enjoys all of the latest features, I think adding pumps, water, and moving base parts is an order of magnitude more complexity and increases the odds of breaking something. My Roomba 500 still runs and it just needed battery replacements and a new vac motor over its 12 years of service. Granted, I have the perspective of having a robot vac for 2 decades, so picking up things on the floor that it'll get stuck on is second nature."

"I’ve had iRobots, Exocets, Samsung, Deebot, Eufy, and now a Roborock Qrevo Curve and hands down the curve is the best I’ve owned. It uses less water which means less refilling, it’s obstacle avoidance is great, especially if you leave lights on for it, and it just performs much better in my household than the Omni T20 it replaced. Now the T20 is on main bedroom duty (we have dog gates, so one robot can’t do it all) We have 0 carpet though, and no rugs, so I can’t speak to any of that. But the dual roller design has cured the need for constant detangling of the brushes - we have 4 long haired humans and a 4 dogs, one sheds constantly. It’s been a game changer. I got it for $1,099 and literally would buy another one if something happened to this one."

"I have roborock qrevo curv. it can't even climb over a 2cm threshold. Still bought threshold ramp to get through."
2· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"I've had a Roborock Qrevo Curv for over a year and its been a great robot. In fact its the best robot vacuum/mop I've ever owned. It follows the schedule and doesn't have issues navigating the house, especially the dining room which has tripped up every Dreame robot I've tried (x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller). I had to send the curv in for a wheel issue and the side brush stopped turning and they turned it around in two weeks. I've since added a curvx so I can use two robots for daily cleaning but its only 2 weeks old now and too new to give an accurate report on its performance. I bought both directly from the roborock store as I can get an extended factory warranty along with a military discount."

"Eureka has good customer service. I don't have any issues so far with the vacuum but I had sent a mail to see if I can buy a second base station, customer support has been good, they atleast called me to say they don't have the inventory yet but will reach out when it's available."
3· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"Overall, we like our E10s as well, but we have had issues with the latest firmware update completely breaking the ability of the unit to charge on the base station. I recently had to roll back to factory default settings, just to keep it working. Which will be an issue down the line because I’m really not comfortable having Network connected hardware without updated firmware but I also don’t want to own a brick."
2· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"Correct! Your vacuum won’t do as good of a job as a $100 normal vaccum. Look for new/ slighty used robovacs in marketplace… I got a brand new Eureka E10 for $120 because the owner’s mother gifted him and apparently robot vaccums freak out his kids lol"

"I recently got a Roborock Qrevo Pro and I'm loving it. It was expensive, sure, but it vacuums, it mops, it's low effort. Honestly I didn't really think I'd care about the mopping feature as much as I do, but it definitely makes the house feel cleaner. With dogs or kids (I just have cats) I think it would make an even bigger difference. I have a Roborock Q7+ in my downstairs level and I like that too, but don't plan to bother with the mop much (mostly carpeting)."
4· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"We had a Roomba S9 plus, which was a great vacuum! We have two golden retrievers that shed heavily, and the Roomba handled it with ease. However, as years went on, it developed constant software issues, which finally was its end. We replaced it with a Roborock Q Revo Pro, it doesn’t stand a chance against my dogs. The roller is constantly requiring maintenance, and the vacuum port is too small to allow the dust bin to fully be emptied into the bag, it is constantly clogged. We have found that the mop really just spreads the dirt around and isn’t really effective in its ability to actually clean the tile. It has a setting where you control how frequently it returns to the base to wash its mop pads which we have set to its most frequent setting. We purchased additional pads and pads to be able to wash and replace them frequently. Over time we notice our tile and grout getting darker and darker"
5· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"I have the mova p10 ultra pro and a roomba j6+. Both will bash legs of furniture, the p10 less so. Be careful with suggestions here on it, it drives like a drunk driver around things at time. The only unit I have tried which is almost perfect around my furniture was a Roborock qrevo pro which I returned due to the hot wash mop feature not getting up to temp and not great cable avoidance, but navigation and vacuuming was perfect."

"I was making the same decision last week between the same models you've mentioned. Eventually went for the Ecovacs x11 omnicyclone. I was very hesitant as the reviews are mixed, but the scores on vaccumwars sold me. Couldn't be happier. The navigation is impressive as is the hoovering and mop functionality. Some complaints online about the app, but from what I can tell, some users are using an older version which does look poor, but the one I downloaded from Play store is great. Can watch the robot in real-time, full schedules and live mapping etc. Roller mop is also great. I did initially have a problem with it not wetting the roller but figured out that I just hadn't closed the water tank properly - now its very much working. Can't complain, very happy. "Get the dreame x30. I have two eufy x10s and their hard floor pickup is mediocre. Struggles with medium size debris like cat litter or rice. Forces me to run it on max suction and deep cleaning when drains the battery to the point where it can't finish cleaning 1000sqft in a single charge."
5· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"I tested and retested the Dreame X40 and X30, they just didn't do as good as the older L20, I don't know why, but it was consistent over many tests. Same thing with the S8 MaxV vs the S8 Max Ultra. The short answer is that before I did this new test, I was mostly just guessing about relative differences in mopping ability, I could do the basic mopping tests that I did, but those really only helped me find particularly bad mopping robots, they didn't help us to know which one was better than another in an objective way. Now that I have a system that, at least I believe is accurate, it will change the rankings going forward. You could argue that I shouldn't weigh the mopping ability scores so heavily in the final rankings, and I may revise that in a future algo update, but for right now I think its a good system, even if it radically changes my view on which are the best robots out there right now. One thing I have found over the years is that every release of every product is different. certain little changes in manufacturing change performance metrics even with its not supposed to on paper. testing products in increasingly better ways is the only way to keep the manufacturers honest."

"I got Dreame x30 ultra. In just one day, it has fixed my life. I do not have experience with any other robot vacuums , this is my first. My house has plenty of obstacles and such and it does not get caught or stuck and my floors are amazingly clean- which is not an easy accomplishment! 1800 sq ft. All hardwood with several small rugs and two area rugs. One extra large triple coated dog two cats two kids one husband. I initially thought of waiting for the roborock bc of their brand name and known for quality. I am not sure exactly why I chose the Dreame, probably due to the coupon which saved me a ton of money bc I did the preorder, so in comparison to roborock expected price, it was much better. I also didn't want to wait for roborock to release. If you have any questions about the x30 I can try to answer."

"If you believe the cat will always vomit only when the robot isn’t working, you could look at the QRevo Pro with no camera ([999.99 CAD](https://ca.roborock.com/products/roborock-qrevo-pro)). The Roborock QRevo MaxV with visual object recognition and avoidance is also sold at the same price but Roborock’s obstacle avoidance isn’t the best. Best obstacle avoidance comes from Dreame’s newer models like the L/X30-40, NarWal’s Freo Z Ultra, and Eufy’s S1 Pro. Unfortunately the Eufy S1 Pro is not good at de tangling pet hair so I’ve excluded it from my recommendations. If you want one that is much better at avoiding pet messes you can look at the Narwal Freo Z Ultra as it’s obstacle avoidance is much better (I heard they’re still working out the bugs for its firmware when navigating) for [1799 CAD](https://ca.narwal.com/pages/freo-z-ultra-robot-vacuum-and-mop?srsltid=AfmBOopbjWKpPNT81ckQFs2yLeDiH4cBf0ZKxrSZkGXnR9Zb2XzR9-Rl) For Dreame I think the most effective obstacle avoidance fhoice will be the L40 Ultra ([2099](https://www.amazon.ca/dreame-Removable-Extendable-SideBrush-Auto-Empty/dp/B0D5LJH6GJ?ref_=ast_sto_dp)). It is slightly above your 2000 CAD budget but it beats all the other models at edge and corner cleaning as well as using its algorithm to decide if some areas warrant a second cleaning. I saw that it was offering the TriCut brush, free mops, and their hairdryer(?) with this purchase. I found that the TriCut brush with the correct brush cover was amazing at dealing with my long haired corgi’s fur to the point I only had to clean dust off the brush. The X30 Ultra is strangely more expensive when it doesn’t perform as well. If you are okay running the robot in good ambient lighting for the robot’s mess avoidance to work well, you could look at the Dreame L10S Pro Ultra Heat for ([1699 CAD](https://www.amazon.ca/dreame-Suction-Maintenance-Obstacle-Avoidance/dp/B0CVL2TT74?ref_=ast_sto_dp)). You’d have to buy the TriCut brush from AliExpress but I think that’s also a possible option."

"I’d go in with the understanding that the latest and greatest today will be outdated tomorrow. So I went for the best bang for my buck. I just got a Dreame L40 which was only $475. I actually like the performance. And really if money wasn’t an issue, I’d do a nice professional install to hook it up to my plumbing so I don’t have to fill it up or empty the dirty water. Then by a new best band for buck model every few years. If money is no o next and I could wait for it to come to the US I’d probably get the Dreame L40S (notice the s) which has 19,900 Pa for vacuum or Dreame x50 (dreames X line is their top of the line while the L is more midrange. With that said, I feel that Roborock is the more solid and reliable brand. But Dreame has its bells and whistles. Theres a lot of debate over mopping. Roller vs spinning. And for me personally with light traffic and a no shoes indoor home, I find the spinning mop good. The base washes the mop with hot water, and it picks up a lot of dirt. I also go to vacuum wars for reviews. Their top is Ecovacs, roborock, Yeedi and Dreame/Mova (mova is subsidiary of Dreame) Not everyone is impressed with Dreame but I like it so far."
23· r/RobotVacuumsView on Reddit
"I was in the same boat as you, I originally only owned a Dreame L40 but I wasn't too satisfied with it's mopping. The spinning mop pads were really just rotating the dirty water around and occasionally leaving streaks no matter what setting I set. My Z60 comes this week so I'll let you know then. I've been digging around and it seems that the mopping performance on it is really good but I'll have to see myself."

"I ended up going to Costco.com. May not be a choice for you, but be careful with Amazon. Previously ordered a Eufy L60 and ended up with someone stuffing a used Roomba in the box instead. Returned it and didn't go back. I looked at all brands (Consumer Reports was useless) and what Reddit was saying about the contenders. Ended up going with a Roborock QX Revo Ultra as Roborock seemed to have the better app and the unit would do rooms using Google Assistant. It also had a superior nav system than its Revo siblings. And yeah, Black Friday. Save yourself some money. Good luck and good hunting!"

"I got the roborock qx revo ultra, absolutely love it so far. Bought it online, store selections sucks. Shipped and arrived way quicker than anticipated. 100% hardwood floor apartment with 2 large dogs and a cat. My friend who’s actually slightly allergic said she can tell the difference since I bought it. And even after a year, Costco will take it back no questions asked."

"I WOULD NOT get a high end vacuum! I've owned both expensive and cheaper ones and I highly recommend getting a semi-expensive one from iRobot that has all the features you want! One with great reviews and is user friendly. In these type of things, the ones that most people are able to setup and use are usually the best. We have the iRobot Roomba 692 and we love it. Only a few hundred online and it does everything we need. It also has like 70,000+ reviews."

"You won't care about mopping until you clean out the dirty water tank of the dock for the first time. That's when you'll realize how much you need the mount system. Anyway, all that said, the Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A is still on crazy good special for $550. Probably the best bang for buck robot for cleaner out there. I got mine in July on Prime Day for $700 and loved it so much that I just bought a second one for upstairs."

"I had the exact same thing happen on my Roborock Qrevo Edge a few days ago. It never had issues, but all of a sudden it failed climbing 2 separate thresholds for like 15 minutes. Roborock has a night mode which I think was on at the time, so I am in denial and hoping the night mode keeps it from reaching top speed or something"

"I just replaced my shark matrix with a Roborock QRevo Edge 5SA. I'm only 3 days into owning it, but it picks up a ton more dirt and hair than my shark ever did, and it is quieter too. The Roborock also self empties (that part is loud), has better obstacle avoidance, and the app is better. I haven't used the mopping feature yet, but I will try it out tomorrow!"
