TCL S5

“There's A LOT of tv snobs here who don't understand the need for a sub 500 dollar tv but last year when I was replacing my garage tv I did a ton of comparisons and research on rtngs and came to the conclusion to get the Hisense A7N. It was the brightest in the sub 500 dollar range. The TCL S5 was a close or comparable 2nd. The Samsung was okay and the LG just wasn't even in the same ballpark picture wise. I can say that for about 8 months now I've been super happy with my 65" Hisense A7N. It's been great in my garage where it gets watched primarily for football and basketball at least 3 times a week. Even during the day it's still bright enough with the doors open to see just fine. Overall I'm happy with it. It's not my "main" TV but that's got a whole different use case and cost 6 times as much.”
