In 4k it's not going to compete with the Bravia 9, but as long as you're not expecting that level of performance (and the additional electricity wasted and heat generated due to 8k requiring much more power to illuminate), I'd say go for it. I could be mistaken, but if I recall correctly, this TV doesn't display a pixel-perfect 8k resolution if that's important to you. Should still be much closer to true 8k than a 4k TV would be, in 8k content.”
