Best praise vs top criticism for Sony X95J
“I've owned a variety of Sony TV's X900F, X90L, X95J (x 2), A80J (x 2) also own the Sony VPLXW-5000ES projector, so I like my Sony's. I bought the 100" Hisense U7N from Costco cause well, for $1800 delivered + 5 year warranty, why not. After calibration the U7N is on par with the X90L all day if not better as the X90L is more reflective. Longevity I cannot answer and do not put a ton of hours on my TV's. No issues with the Hisense...yet. The X95J is a class above them all without a doubt. Guess it comes down to what you want to spend, I'd take the $2K Hisense all day over the $6K Sony and spend the extra money on a sound system.”
“So ,think can't chk actual hours on Sony in regular Menu it resets. Have X95 J model, like 2years old,not mini LED, but full array etc. Few months ago I noticed I can now see the backlights in bright display images, like a grid pattern, can't get rid of it or lessen it. This display is prob On 20 hours per day,as always someone in house, point is seems to have some kind of issue ,burn in ,image retention, not sure, others have reported same thing. Probably will replace this eventually,it's distracting,”
