Best praise vs top criticism for Samsung Jet Bot+
“The only robots other than Roombas I’m aware of that have actual bin full sensors are the Samsung Jet Bot series from a couple years ago, the current combo model might too but I haven’t checked. I don’t know if they licensed the patent from iRobot or what but they do genuinely have actual sensors that will empty the bin when it’s full instead of on a timer. The auto empty mechanism is also really good on them. I still think the advice from other comments here about running it more often would be a better first step than buying a new one.”
“As I replied a while ago to another responded, they have improved the integration. Initially the integration failed to allow me even the most basic automations. Strangely, setting up no-go zones worked from day one. If it worked for you, that is great, but it was unavailable to me. Perhaps you have an older JetBot. I have been a SmartThings user for nearly 6 years and I have more than 100 devices attached to it, with many automations that aren't just switching on a light. I am currently experimenting with a motion sensor to stop or delay the scheduled start of the jetbot on weekends. I haven't quite got it the way I want it yet but I am getting close to that.”
