Best praise vs top criticism for Philips SpeedPro Max Aqua
βPhillips Speedpro Max & the Samsung Jet 75 / Jet 90 are good options in budget Miele Duoflex is ok AEG 8000 Series & Phillips 7000 series are also good optionsβ
βI agree, the Philips Speedpro Aqua does not seem very durable. The vacuum has a very ineffective rudimentary cyclone and the mop is just a spray mop/drip mop. The problem is very few vacuum/mop combos can dry vacuum, most automatically put down solution all of the time. There are corded and cordless versions but the cordless versions have fixed batteries so the whole machine is useless when the battery breaks or wears down. The vacuum function works but with no cyclonic separation the filter gets dirty/clogged quickly. Vac/mops require lots of cleanup after every use. You must wash and dry both tanks, the brushroll, the filter, and wipe down the machine or you can get mold and odors. I like this spinning mop a lot better because it is much less cleanup. Empty the solution tank and machine wash the pads. It does have a vacuum but I have not tried this combo machine, I've only tried the SpinWave mop only. This is a cordless machine and also has a fixed battery. I can only recommend a good canister vacuum, like a Numatic, Miele, or Sebo with a suction floor brush (no brushroll) and a regular spray mop or mop of your choice as a reliable vacuum. Thoughts?β
