Best praise vs top criticism for Sebo Felix
“I think this is a case of buying the wrong vacuum. It’s a single motor upright designed primarily for carpet, not multi surface homes. There isn’t a second motor for the brushroll, so you wouldn’t be able to shut it off. This is one of the key reasons why the SEBO X7 is not on the subreddit’s recommended list, and I prefer to steer people to more affordable, maneuverable, and versatile options like the Miele Classic C1 Cat & Dog, SEBO K3, and SEBO Felix, as well as less common options like the Zero G and Lindhaus HF6. (trust me, I’ve written paragraphs on why the X7’s not the right option for most folks before, I only recommend it for specific situations where housekeepers or irresponsible family members will be using and abusing the vacuum)”
“If you prefer an upright a Sebo Felix is an excellent vacuum. But IMO it doesn’t make sense for your flooring situation. That’s meant for a home with majority medium pile carpeted rooms. Plus it’s in another league budget wise. A Hoover t series tempo is a more traditional upright, same with a Kenmore bu1017. (If you notice a theme here, all of the recommended vacuums are bagged) they clean better, last longer and filter better than the disposable bagless sharks and Dysons. For that much hard floor, a canister really does makes sense (if you don’t like the Miele check out a Sebo k2 kombi) Have you ever tried out a Miele or Sebo canister before? Why the hate? They really are fantastic machines. If you haven’t, and you’re serious about getting a quality vacuum cleaner that will last you 20+ years - spend 10min at your local dealer test driving one. It may change your mind, or further cement that you hate it.”
