+54 pts“Some brands are EXPLICITLY designed for planned obsolescence. To me... its less of "snobbery" than it is... just not wanting to be stolen from, passively, by crappy appliances. This happens at ALL price points. I bought a used Miele C3 Cat/Dog used. I swooped in on an excellent deal. It wasn't cheap.... but the thing is truly built to last amd it DOES THE THING I NEED IT TO DO. Vacuum! I had 2 Dysons which were both expensive AND shitty. Then a Black and Decker. Then a Kenmore. It got frustrating buying reconfigured crappy vacuums. Not everyone can buy a top of the line Miele or Sebo. I get it. People who only have $100 to spend should know that Shark's plug-in models are a better quality build than most Dyson Cordless vacuums that are 3 times the price. People should warn others to NOT BUY CRAP. Not buying garbage =/= snobbery.”
