I compare these to the Emotiva B1+, which I think was probably my favorite budget speaker, at least in this price range for a while. Personally speaking, I like the KEF more, and I like it more because of the soundstage depth. ... The only issue I have is the bass is not going to be adequate without a subwoofer ... and the high frequency bump. Assuming you are using a sub and have a receiver with some form of room correction, you likely would have better results with the KEF. An additional benefit is that the KEF Q650c center channel is going to avoid many of the issues of standard centers, though that comes at a bit of a price.”
