Best praise vs top criticism for Keiser M3i
Best Praise
+7 pts“Because while Peloton has the best streaming content by far, Keiser is a superior bike in build and fit, and I personally don't care about the leaderboard. If the new Keiser model wasn't different in ways that are meaningful to me I would happily keep riding my 10+ year old m3. One of the mods of this subreddit wrote a review (now several years old) of their Keiser, if you want to read it as a point of reference. The new model differs in a few ways but this will give you some context. https://www.reddit.com/r/pelotoncycle/s/nPPdup0AvZ”

+1 pts“Yeah, I've noticed that the Bluetooth stack is kind of broken lately. I have a Keiser with the Bluetooth pod and also use a Polar H10 heart rate strap. I'm used to the bike disconnected once I stop pedaling and the screen shuts off, but lately the app will also disconnect the Polar between workouts when it didn't do that for the longest time. What's worse is that if the Keiser connects first, the app uses the heart rate signal from the bike console and there's no way to deselect it. This is wonky because the bike uses GymLink to receive HR data from the Polar but that's much less reliable than direct Bluetooth to my iPad. The end result is that I get obviously wrong HR information or it drops out to zero, sometimes several times per ride. There was an app update today, hoping this has been fixed. It was quite annoying.”
