“I did 1700 miles NOBO on the PCT this summer with a Katabatic Flex 22 and a Nemo Tensor all season pad (5.4 R Value). I started in March 24 so the early season in the desert was cold as were nights in the Sierra. I was comfortable and only wore my puffy a handful of evenings. The Katabatic pad attachment system really locks the quilt down to the pad thus avoiding drafts. I highly recommend it.”

“FWIW, while everyone is different, I’ve started to add 10 degrees to the bag’s rating for the coldest I’ll take it. I’ve had my Flex 22 down to 25 degrees and I was cold. I could still sleep but I was cold. This was on an Xtherm.”
