Best praise vs top criticism for Zpacks Duplex
“I have used Duplexes for more nights than any other tent. DCF floor is fine without a footprint with no abrasion problems that I have noticed. I've used an X-Mid Pro 2 for more than a year. The silnylon is fine, but I use a polycro footprint (about 50 g). I cannot imagine either getting shredded at all even on granite. Besides, DCF is trivially patched. I suspect silnylon is as well. I do carry both DCF patch/tape and silnylon patch in my repair kit.”
“That ain't 0.5. If you look at the tent its an old ass duplex that has been patched. Probably sold by an thru hiker (remember that the dcf are supposed to hold one of 6 month hike) and that guy complained when it was shredded.”
