Best praise vs top criticism for Ecovacs Deebot U2
“I feel like spinning mops are good at cleaning along the edges. When they spin, they can reach into the corners well. My deebot mini does that, and it’s actually decent for everyday vacuuming too. And I think the black friday price is only around €299 right now.”
“Ah, gotcha. Yeah, the U2 Pro explains it that’s a solid little budget bot for its time, but it’s also about as barebones as it gets compared to what’s out now. No real obstacle avoidance, weaker suction, simple navigation. Really anything in today’s flagship range is going to blow it out of the water. The Dreame L50 is actually an amazing fit for what you described. It’s got way more suction than the U2 Pro, excellent hard-floor pickup (20k suction is actually crazy), and the mop system is great for dust and the fine sand your dog tracks in. The dock also handles mop washing and drying, so you’re not constantly babysitting it. Obstacle avoidance is leagues ahead of what you’ve had, so it won’t just plow into cords or pet toys. The only other robot I’d really strongly consider if you want serious mopping is the Aqua10. It’s newer, so reviews are still rolling (da dum ‘tis) in, but every one I’ve seen says it absolutely dominates at keeping floors clean roller mops just do that better in general. The only trade-off is it needs a hair more monthly maintenance than the spinning pads on the L50. It also has an eye watering 30k PA in suction. That said, if you don’t want to think about mop tech too much, the L50 is more than capable.”
