Best praise vs top criticism for Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni
“We upgraded to a self-emptying and mopping vac after our roborock died - got a ecovac deebot t20 Omni. The app is terrible (all features are there but google translate has failed them hard) so it takes an extra few hours to figure out, but once you have it up and running it's awesome. We have a "proper" clean and floor wash every 2. Week, but our bot runs almost daily. We have a kid and 2 dogs and we literally never feel like the floor is dirty. We just always activate it before we leave the house and it does it's thing for a few hours. I can't find any thing to complain about at the moment, honestly.. a slightly bigger battery would be nice? It is just a smidge to small to do the full house so it has to charge for 2 hours and suddenly do the last 15 mins”
“Do you have pets? I told my parents what I would say to anyone without pets - if you’re in a relatively clean apartment - the obstacle avoidance isn’t a huge issue. It mainly comes into play when you have dog toys, kids charging cables, shoes and laces around - that it’s worth the extra money. I would have been content with the Omni T20 if I didnt have the kids and dogs. But it would tangle like crazy on cords and long hair. You can find a good enough map/vac for under $600. Just buy a couple year old flagship. Feel free to comment for more questions. I’ve owned like 10 robot vacs in the last 10 years and happy to discuss.”
