Differin Gel (Adapalene 0.1%)

“Do you use any retinols or are on accutane. Like tretinoin or differin? Retinols make it easy for your too most layers of skin to be ripped on when getting waxed. This is what it typically looks like. If you are on retinols, don’t worry too much. Next time you get your eye brows waxed, stop the topicals for a few days beforehand. If you’re on accutane (or sotret, etc) you can’t get waxed at all until a few weeks after you discontinue the med. It will look worse over the next few days. It’ll likely darken up and get crispy. Make up can hide it, but it won’t hide the texture. Wear sunscreen and try to avoid sunlight. Keep the area clean and moisturize. Do not pick the crustiness off. I went through something similar and it didn’t scar at all. But it was frustrating and embarrassing to deal with at first, but it did heal.”
