Best praise vs top criticism for La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5
“Okay, firstly I woud recommend using shampoo and conditioner for your pubic hair. It makes it quite soft and pleasant. For your actual junk, I would recommend something simple like Aquaphor, CeraVe Healing Ointment, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm. i highly recommend the [La Roche Posay Cicaplast](https://www.laroche-posay.ca/en_CA/cicaplast-baume-b5-soothing-relieving-balm-40ml/3337875844413.html), although I have never used it on my "junk" before. All these products contain moisturizers as well as occlusive so they moisturize and then occlude the surface to lock the moisturizer in. As far as I know they are all dermatologist tested and should be safe to use anywhere.”
“Cicaplast is not meant to be used daily. I've seen a lot of posts about this. Using it daily can definitely result in clogged pores and overall congested skin. As someone who swears by this product- it's meant to be used as a soothing balm or healing ointment. If you have a broken skin barrier, a burn, a rash, irritation, itchiness, etc. You use it a couple times until your skin is healed. I use salicylic acid products daily. Once a week I will not use any actives (except whatever is in my face wash), apply a centella ampoule and then do a very very thin layer of Cicaplast. Focusing it on the areas of my face that get dry. I also use it on my cuticles after cleaning and trimming them, my elbows, and my heels when they're really dry.”
