I went with the Cascadias in 2022 to hike the John Muir Trail. I've since put ~700km on them and they've still got some life in them (albeit not much). I'd ultimately go with what feels best on your foot, but know that the Cascadias are no slouch.

My planter fasciitis seems to be less agitated with my Lone Peak 0 drop vs Brooks Cascadia 8mm drop. There's a lot more variables here as others have mentioned so crap shoot really what's the cause or if it's even related to the specific shoes at all.
