+12 pts“I think at that price point, the BA Rapid SL Insulated looks like a better choice over the divide. Slightly more expensive, yes, but with an improved R value. Otherwise, Flextail has a new ASTM tested 5.6 R value pad for $120. Naturehike also makes a 5.8 R value pad that I think is also ASTM tested for around that price. I think there’s probably something to be said about the extra warranty you’d be getting from an REI or BA directly if you spent the extra money to buy the Rapide SL. But, that said, if your budget isn’t that flexible, I think the Flextail and Naturehike pads are worth looking at for the extra R value at a lower cost that they provide.”
