Yoder YS480s

“Size isn't all as some people are saying, The 480 does not have a sliding damper like the 640+ have either so you have less control over temps in the smaller 480. The WiFi works for what it does, allows you to download the fireboard app and see the yoders temp and comes with probes for the meat. The app isn't that great in my experience as when I used it during a cook I had set alerts for High and Low temps, my cook went over the high temp alert and never gave me any notice that it happened. All I use it for now is after turning the Yoder on, making sure it has reached temp. The build quality is what originally drove me to yoder, i like that it isn't built with chineseium in china, its built to last but I've said this before If I had learned there are better smokers out there that can function like a pellet grill with better results, like [Humphrey's](https://www.humphreysbbq.com/collections/standard-cabinet-smokers) which I now cook on I'd never had gone the pellet route. If you are thinking the 480, Look at Humphrey's weekender, pair it with a [Signals](https://alnk.to/1XXEkL1) and Billows from thermoworks and you'll get better smoke from a better smoker that is equally built to last built in maine.”
