Best praise vs top criticism for Vantrue N4 Pro
“I've had great experiences with Thinkware and Viofo. Thinkware is much more expensive than Viofo. Vantrue is great as well, the N4 Pro is just super large.”
“I used to have the n4 and it died on me after 2 years in the Texas heat. I was looking at the n4 pro to upgrade it as that one offers 4k. I ended up getting the a229 pro 3ch instead. I opted for the a229 because with the n4 pro even though the main camera is 4k the other 2 are 1080p. With the a229 you get 4k front, 2k rear, 1080p inside. I will note a difference with the cameras is that with the n4 the front camera and the inside cam are integrated into the same unit. In the a229 you get individual cameras for each. That might be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. Another thing I noticed with viofo is that you can buy each camera separately so if one dies you might be able to replace only that one and not have to spend the full amount for the set again. You would need someone who's had to do that to verify though since mine are new and I haven't had issues yet.”
