“Rove for sure. It's probably the most reliable option out there. And you can get it super cheap on Black Friday as well. Mount it as high up on the windshield as possible (better view & less sun exposure. In general dashcams prices vary depending on if they are 1080p. 2K, 4K, or the configuration (1, 2, 3 channel), the brand....and ofc added features. So may come down to what you are willing to spend. The [Rove R3 cam](https://GrowthGridLab.github.io/DealRadar/?to=whats_a_good_front_rear) is probably their most top tier option right now ( has every feature they can possibly option)....and also has 3 channels (ie 3 cameras). HOWEVER, i feel like if you're looking to save a few bucks, you can get away with the R2 as well. It will get your job done + will be reliable too[.](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WXX4DGM)”
“Fitcam dashcams are terrible dashcams. The 4K versions use the [Sony IMX 335](https://www.phase1vision.com/sensors/sony-sensors/starvis/imx335) sensor, which is a 5MP sensor (yes they flat out lie about having a 8MP sensor, see tear down [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dashcam/comments/100qk66/fitcamx_4k_but_is_25k_cmos_battery_dead_replaced/). This means it's only actually able to do 2.5K, and they just upscale it to 4k, thus the terrible image quality. For the same money, you can get a Viofo A139 Pro, which is a true 4K camera that doesn't lie about its specs and uses the *far superior* Starvis 2 sensor.”
