“Get you a Pfluger President spinning reel and a good ole 6’6” medium two-piece Ugly Stik Elite (I’m partial to the cork handle myself). Spend the other ~$150 on quality line and lures, maybe a cheap lil handy Plano box to store it all in. There’s probably better set ups to throw money at but this rig serves just fine for most freshwater creek/shore fishing.”
