+7 pts“>So I thought maybe I should just cancel my order and grab the svs prime bookshelves and satellites, so I could match all the main speakers, even though it would cost me an extra $300. That is the route I'd take. The Klipsch speakers sound nothing like SVS and won't match up to that Prime Center.”

+5 pts“Alright, in that case I would say that a 150" screen is not overkill at this kind of distance. But that would also mean that SVS Prime bookshelves or towers are the wrong tool for the job. If you want to fill up the entire front wall with screen, then you need to get an acoustically transparent screen and put in-wall speakers or slim on-wall speakers behind the screen. For in-walls in the same price range as SVS, check out the Monolith THX in-walls: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=34366 https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=34367 Or Revel: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_265W553L/Revel-W553L.html?tp=192 For slim on-walls, check out the RBH Impression series: https://www.rbhsound.com/shop/55-iw-31673?category=78&order=list_price+asc#attr=485,777 https://www.rbhsound.com/shop/55-iwr-31700?category=78&order=list_price+asc#attr=543,779 Also keep in mind that good quality 150" acoustically transparent screens are not cheap. My top pick is Seymour Center Stage XD. And their 150" screen is ~$1500: https://www.seymourav.com/store.php Though if you are DIY handy and build your own screen, then you can buy their material and build your own screen for ~$200-400 in parts. Also, you need a projector with a decent amount of light output to throw a good 150" HDR image. **Did you have a projector in mind already? What is your projector budget?** If all this stuff is outside of your price range, then you would be better off dropping the screen to ~135" and moving your seats a couple feet forward (~13ft away). You would no longer need to go acoustically transparent and get away with a cheaper projector as well. A 135" non-AT screen doesn't cost very much at all: https://www.amazon.com/STR-169135-Silver-Ticket-135-Diagonal/dp/B00DGW15NU/?th=1 And you would have enough space around the screen to fit more traditional speakers like the SVS Primes. > but then they'd be in the corners of the room which I've read isn't ideal. To answer your original question, yes this is workable. You can mitigate the worst issues of shoving speakers in the corners of the room by putting acoustic treatment right behind the speakers and on the side walls right next to them.”
