If you want a more budget rod the Fenwick hmx is a step down at $80, still a solid rod.”

One of my favorite things about Phenix is the styling. Lots of other us based companies like St Croix seem to treat the looks of the rod as a total afterthought. But if I'm paying a lot I want performance and styling. Also if you're the type of person who doesn't like to keep your stuff forever Phenix keeps good resale value compared to other brands”
