Best praise vs top criticism for SOTO Windmaster
“I love my Soto windmaster. It’s a lot heavier at 67g but its construction and build quality is far more confidence inspiring than the brs. Also its more efficient so you could theoretically get away with bringing less fuel”
“1. Get the 3-flex for your Soto Windmaster to save weight, sure take a lighter, but ditch the 2nd lighter, firre starter, etc. The piezo of the Windmaster should be fine. 2. Your pot is too big and heavy. Even 900 mL weighs under 90 g. 3. You don't need a cup. You only boil water in your pot and then use it as a drinking cup. 4. Your filter is listed at about double its true weight. Maybe you included those stupid flat bags? 5. That's an awful lot of fuel for 3 days and 30 miles. You marked it consummable, but the you are not eating the can. 6. You should not have mentioned your chair. Remove it from your list. Don't tell us about it. Don't make is a non-negotiable. And take it anyway. 7. You are taking 3 knives, so get rid of all but one. 8. Have you considered taking just a single Toaks long-handled titanium spoon with the polished bowl? Ditch the fork and the knive. 9. Instead of paracord, maybe get some UHMWPE bear line that is slick and light. 10. A lot of folks use a CNOC Vecto 2L to help with water filtering.”
