Unfortunately you are looking for gear when tariffs are fucking up the prices so everything is 20-30% more expensive than last year. Shimano Zodias used to be a great rod for $220, now it's $260 and not worth that price, a lot of gear has price increases like this for rods and reels. Daiwa Tatula XT rods are good for $100, if you are rough on gear get an ugly stick they are basically indestructible.”
