+2 pts“We have a HW-S801D about 5 months old also bricked. We did not have SmartThings app before and as of today we can only connect our 2 Samsung TV's. It will not "find" the soundbar and QR code does not work. Spent almost an hour with a CS rep via text that was useless so called back and waited to speak to someone by phone. At least he accepted that we had done all the unplugging and plugging back in etc. He facilitated service ticket as "request service" only showed up for the tv's and contact support appeared for soundbar. I requested someone to come to my house and he stayed on the line until email came through but we got a UPS label. He said to wait and that I would get a call from service in 24-48 hours and to request in-home repair. My questions: 1. Any possibility they will send someone to my home? 2. Are owners actually going to pay for a box etc to send their soundbar into Samsung. How long do you think this would take to get it back? I have hearing loss and really need a soundbar as I have difficulty with tv speaker. 3. If I did not have SmartThings set up before today did the soundbar update just go through wifi? I had the soundbar registered with Samsung but don't recall the setup process last October when we got it. I just turned off auto update on one TV but on the other Samsung TV this option is grayed-out? Really pissed off like others at spending close to $1k on this oundbar and having to deal with this 6 months later. Thanks.”
