“Don't buy something for occasions, focus on getting 90% right first. Here's a list of things to look at getting, don't buy statement pieces until you have all of these: A good jacket/puffer (let's say a nuptse), couple of cropped blank t-shirts, couple graphic ones (graphic on the back), a cropped hoodie, quarter zip, crewneck/knit, pair of jeans (relaxed fit or looser, be careful with too baggy), grey sweats, couple pairs of trainers (let's say some AM95s and Club C). Monochrome and earth tones work, then mix in colours after that. If you want to dress it up, you can then buy a cropped button up, and it goes with a lot of the basic list. If you stick with the basic list you'll look like any other UK lad, then from there you buy interesting things if you care to.”
