+2 pts“Have you tried Ascend Acoustics' Sierra line of speakers? They are very, very good speakers with premium parts and furniture grade cabinets in a variety of real veneer finishes (they put the Polk Reserve to shame). Depending on your tastes they have a high end SEAS of Norway tweeter or the premium RAAL Ribbon tweeter depending on if you want high SPL's or a more musical tonality. The nice thing about their large horizontal Sierra centers is that they don't do the standard MTM design that is actually inferior for a horizontal speaker. They nest the tweeter/midrange drivers vertically then flank them with the woofers. No matter what, I HIGHLY recommend setting your bass management settings to SMALL with cross-overs about an octave above the -3 dB specification for low frequency roll off on your speakers. You never want to run most speakers, no matter the brand or model, as LARGE.”
