I’ve either sold or given away a few pairs from my collection since then mostly due to space but also just not really loving the sneakers as much anymore. As space runs out and being honest with what I like **and** will wear, I’ve become really intentional and selective with my sneaker purchases. I’ve always had a casual appreciation for sneakers ever since middle school when someone complimented my Airwalks (I know, crazy). It was only until 3 years ago when I **really** got into sneakers. I’m not a huge collector (as you can tell), but I appreciate learning and hearing the stories from people of all walks of lives through sneakers. Of course, it doesn’t have to be that deep and I just really like the colorway, collab or otherwise. --------------------------------------------- **Surprise of the year:** Nike Air Force 1 WB “Flax/Wheat” This shoe in particular was a “surprise” to me because I was never really drawn to Air Force 1s nor “wheat” colored footwear. I was only ever interested after seeing one of Eddiewinkicks’s videos on these and seeing them on feet. After getting them in hand, I like them a lot more than I thought! Quality is better than average, especially for Nike (which isn’t saying much but still). I really like them for a pop of color in outfits, and that slightly transparent/gum outsole is just perfect to me. --------------------------------------------- **Most worn of the year:** Adidas Superstar 82 x JJJJound “Made in Germany” I just reached for these shoes a lot. The leather quality is pretty good, they can take a beating, and they go with anything. I could just wipe them down and they still look pretty good. --------------------------------------------- **Favorite pick up of the year:** Nike Air Max 95 x Corteiz “Honey Black” I was able to get exclusive access on the Corteiz site and I think it might’ve been because I’ve bought something there before. I believe only some accounts were able to get EA. The AM95 x Corteiz “Pink Tings” is still one of my modern grails so being able to have these means a lot to me. It’s not particularly valuable or going crazy in the aftermarket but I don’t care. Seeing as there are a lot of fakes going around for the “Pink Tings,” I don’t think I could ever pull the trigger on a pair of those. This “Honey Black” colorway is probably my 2nd favorite of the 4 AM95 x Corteiz collabs. Close second is the Asics Gel-1130 in “Dark B”
