“Honestly, I much prefer the round GSI cups that fit around a Nalgene bottle to either of these styles. I own but rarely use one of these kidney-shaped cups; just not a design I like. 🤷🏻♂️”
“Well first off, despite our common use age Nalgene’a aren’t actually designed to hold boiling water. If they don’t leak with room temp water they aren’t defective, and returning them would be a dick move. And of course, any time you tighten plastic so hard that you give yourself a blister you’re going to damage the plastic. I’m going to guess that the first time they “leaked” it was just a bit of water dripping out of the threads, then over tightening the hot plastic bottle deformed it enough to leak afterwards.”
