tldr; Dual 8" subs with 7.2 surround. Serious bass, serious value. Nakamichi's mid-tier powerhouse.

Best praise vs top criticism for Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite 7.2 eARC
“I'm very familiar with the Nakamichi issues. I have an Elite 7.2.4 eARC and it kicks all kinds of ass. Way better than the samsungs I've tried. The Nak issues are primarily with the Dragon which they currently sell for $3300 and were originally marketed as having 4 subs that had a range down to 20hz. Turns out it's only 2 subs, each with 2 drivers, and they do not reproduce 20hz. So now Nakamichi came out with some new subs that can be added to the Dragon as optional, they are $1500 EACH, and supposedly go down to 19hz. So basically the original Dragon doesn't do what was claimed but Nakamichi is now giving Dragon owners the opportunity to add two additional subs for the low low price of only $3000 (in addition to the $3200 the original system costs), so $6300 will give you a system that allegedly does what they originally promised that the $3200 system would do. Naturally, a whole bunch of people are extremely and rightfully pissed off. But the Elite 7.2.4 eARC has been great for me. No real complaints about it. Which is why I'd love to try the Ultra 9.2.4 which is basically the Elite I have but with 10" subs instead of 8" and an additional set of surrounds for side/front fill.”
“True, but then again that's for almost double the price of the BM700. And then there's the price of the soundbar system itself as well. I think Nakamichi is a rip off unless you're looking for a soundbar for a mansion 😂”
