Best praise vs top criticism for Maxfli Tour X Golf Ball
“This. I have been going back and forth between the Tour and Tour X for the least season and a half. The Tour is a great ball with really solid performance. I’d say it’s at least 85% of a ProV1 with a slightly better feel around the green. It feels softer like a Chrome Soft X Tour X launches noticeably higher even at lower/mid swing speeds and is a little less spinny off the driver. With that being said, it feels like a rock in the short game. I prefer the performance of the Tour X (and most average players benefit from the higher launch and lower driver spin from X balls in general), but the very firm feel led me to the Tour as my gamer.”
“I've played the 2025 Tour X the last 3 rounds. 1 of those was a season low 77 and the other 2 were 80 and 80. I've also shot a 69 (par 72) on a Sim round with it. Most consistent ball I've played all year...and the list is LONG of the 2024-2025 balls I have tested...all 4 variants of the Pro V1 (regular, V1x, Left Dash, and Left Dot), Bridgestone Tour B X, TaylorMade TP5, regular Maxfli Tour, and Callaway Chrome Tour X (easily the absolute worst of ALL of the above on both simulator testing data, on course play, and putting...just pathetic compared to anything else and it sounds / feels awful too).”
