“Wow. Didnt think id see a pair of Nepal Evos in /r/hiking. Congrats on your happiness with the boots! Decent score and then some! That's the most important thing that you're happy with them. Looking at the sides, and part of the tread, are you 100% sure that these are brand new and haven't been returned. The tread isn't worn, but it and the side of the boot do look scuffed a bit. I own the Nepal cubes and the discoloration isn't at all non-uniform. I'm not here to rain on your parade by any stretch, but given a heads up that I HAVE returned and exchanged items at REI because it was clear that they had seen some use and were not marked as such. (Pot staining and discoloration, wear/tear scuff marks on items etc. I've had to scrutinize a lot in REI as of late. Congrats on your boots, great price all the same and I hope they bring you a lot of joy and warmth if you're going out mountaineering or doing something related in the snow.”
