“I think you're correct in your thinking here. I started with zero drop almost ten years ago and have slowly converted all of my various shoes and boots to zero drop. It works well for me. Last summer I picked up some very lightly used Hoka Speedgoats and absolutely loved them, at first. I developed knee pain during downhill sections, which I had never dealt with before. Kind of went through a depressing month where I thought I was getting old and falling apart 😅 had a moment of thought where I considered it might be the Speedgoats causing the knee pain and so I switched back to Lone Peaks - knee pain vanished and has never come back.”
