+2 pts“Both are great chairs. I disagree about the build quality of the knoll tho. It is over engineered with much more plastic in its design, even in the mechanism. The way that the recline is designed is all plastic on plastic which over time leads to some sloppiness in the back and broken parts. You also can’t open the compartment where the springs are as it’s riveted shut. It feels much less sturdy to me than the zody and the recline is absolutely terrible imo. However the back on the generation is amazing and sitting upright in the generation hits so good compared to the zody. The recline and seat on the zody are better tho. I like the sturdiness and adjustments of the zody arms but the position of the knoll arms feels more natural. Just depends on what you’re looking for. The zody can be business and a lounger whereas the knoll is all business. Both great chairs good prices.”
