tldr; Smaller sibling to 1300X with same detachable rear concept. 7.1.4 Atmos. Great for medium rooms, still plenty of bass.

Best praise vs top criticism for JBL Bar 1000
“The JBL is plenty dynamic and immersive. You can literally put the surrounds anywhere for a movie or two (super flexible and no need for power connection). And its subwoofer is gonna literally destroy the Samsung. Like not even close.”
“Return the sound bar. I’ve wasted over 3k between 2 sound bars in the last 3 years and a simple fb listing brought me to this page and now I’m so far hooked into this. The difference is so great and beyond measurable. The sound bar made noise and the sub was trash in comparison to my entry level “cheap” setup. No sense of direction and the atmos you want will not be found in a sound bar. Here’s my setup. Budget home theater system Thanks for everyone’s input! Went from a JBL 1000 and LG SN11RG sound bar in this room to the following. Changing out my center for a Klipsch RP504C today from crutchfield on sale for $369 I’m now invested total at $2161 The sound is absolutely astounding compared to the “best” soundbar. I’m no pro and I’m sure many would agree faults in my choices but I’m slowly working to get higher end stuff. But take their advice. Good luck! If you return this and read a little, search marketplace you could do the same.”
